Expert Community Marketing Director

Job Location: New York, NY

We currently have an opening for an Expert Community Marketing Director to join the Consumer Marketing team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the P&L and strategic direction of all expert marketing initiatives
  • Responsible for all direct response media sources used to acquire and retain experts in the marketplace
  • Direct strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting, for all expert marketing activities
  • Oversee all marketing test strategy, analysis & reporting expert marketing initiatives
  • Explore alternative business models in overall business strategy to identify potential expert revenue streams
  • Develop individually customized Internet communications, including welcome email, account information and notifications, and up-sells for expert marketing activities
  • Manage the execution of expert marketing projects from start to finish in collaboration with other teams including Product Development, Creative, Research, Media, Operations, Customer Service, Finance, etc.
  • Collaborate with business units on product development and marketing strategy implementation
  • Manage relationship with paid search marketing agency to ensure ROI goals are being met for expert marketing programs
  • Actively manage paid search campaigns for 2nd tier paid search campaigns for expert marketing initiatives
  • Ensure messaging is on brand strategy for all expert campaigns & communications

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Must have minimum of 5 years of experience implementing a variety of direct & interactive marketing strategies
  • Balanced fusion of creative, analytical, business, marketing and product management skills is required
  • Minimum 2 years of interactive direct marketing/ecommerce experience is required
  • High entrepreneurial drive and strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and lead initiatives and maximize the potential of the business
  • Range of tactical knowledge and skills including: financial analysis, testing efforts, quantitative methods and analytics, list segmentation and selection, campaign planning and execution, and new product development
  • Strong credibility and interpersonal skills to successfully develop solid relationships both internally and externally
  • Experience managing paid search campaigns
  • Experience negotiating, purchasing and managing a variety of online media campaigns (banners, emails, pops, contextual, etc.); Experience with various deal structures including CPM, CPC, hybrid, etc. especially CPA
  • Experience managing, optimizing and growing multiple direct response online media campaigns and partnerships
  • Ability to compile and analyze performance data and metrics and make decisions regarding campaign direction based on your analysis
  • Experience with campaign management/ad serving technologies or the principles thereof (e.g., Atlas DMT)
  • Thorough understanding of online creative strategy development
  • Ability to work well independently and within a team environment
  • Team player that is passionate about what they do
  • PC proficiency and solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
